Ground magnetic and gravity surveys were carried out over a south - southeast trending aeromagnetic feature located 20 km south-east of Naracoorte. It was concluded that drilling to depths of around 150 m would be required to test for the possible occurrence of volcanic-hosted massive sulphide deposits within an interpreted northerly continuation of the Cambrian Mount Read Volcanics, and to locate the sources of two gravity highs. A planned drilling programme did not eventuate due to the JV's lack of funds, and so the ground was surrendered.
