Diamond exploration in the Welbourne Hill area comprised SAEI aeromagnetic data interpretation plus basement float and stream sediment sampling. 38 magnetic dipolar features were identified, but few were ranked highly enough to be geochemically tested, and none were sufficiently encouraging to warrant drilling. No definite kimberlitic indicators were found by field checks and grid sampling on a cluster of 4 anomaly sites near Neville Tank.
