A review of existing mineral exploration data pertaining to an area located 50 km north-east of Blinman indicated that geochemical copper anomalism is associated with the Mount Roebuck Fault and the Pinda Diapir. The potential for finding supergene enriched copper deposits, that are spatially related to mineralised rafts within diapirs, was downgraded by a lack of cover sediments and by the ground checking of aeromagnetic anomalies thought to indicate rafted blocks of magnetic material, which instead revealed the sources to be magnetite in faults or magnetic ironstone.
