Ground magnetic surveys were carried out over seven interpreted aeromagnetic anomalies located north-west of Port Augusta. Those with interpreted source depths that were shallow enough to be reached by RC drilling (6 holes, total 570 m) were found to be due to thin magnetic units within the sediment pile. Drillhole, loam and streambed heavy mineral samples were negative for indicator minerals, and metal assays of drillhole samples peaked at (ppm) 160 Cu, 105 Pb, 645 Zn.
