In an area situated immediately north-east of Hawker township, reconnaissance stream sediment sampling (761 samples) carried out at a density of 10 samples per square mile, plus limited follow-up soil sampling, did not disclose any base metal geochemical anomalism of interest which may be associated with the Arkaba Diapir rocks. The maximum values recorded were Cu to 40 ppm, Pb to 160 ppm and Zn to 160 ppm.
