Refraction seismic and gravity surveys were undertaken to aid in the selection of drill sites in a program targeted at Tertiary uranium. It was also suspected that the Mulgathing Trough would contain basal arkosic sediments which could also host uranium mineralisation. The lack of gamma anomalism, low uranium analysis and lack of favourable characteristics of the Tertiary sediments prompted the explorer to relinquish the tenement.
