Rotary drilling and geophysical logging of 27 holes totalling 1899.5 m were completed in an area located 25-30 km south-east of Lake Frome. Anomalous radioactivity is restricted to the Lower Tertiary Eyre Formation equivalent, or basement rocks. Although prospective areas are believed to exist in the N-S palaeochannel located just east of Lake Namba, the current politico-economic climate is discouraging for further exploration.
