Yudnamutana Project, SML 704. Old Noll prospect. Report on drilling DDH NFK1.

Diamond drill-hole NFK1 was drilled to a total depth of 289.56 metres at the Old Noll prospect in November - December 1972, with the aim of intersecting the buried source of mineralization that has given rise to the boxwork structures outcropping within and above the northern adit. The hole successfully tested the entire section of fault-controlled metasomatic alteration. Copper mineralization was found to be closely associated with the metasomatic quartz-tourmaline rocks developed near the Jubilee Fault. Highest Cu values encountered were from 261 to 269 metres depth, and went 0.39% over a gross width of 6.5 metres, with a core of 0.87% over 2 metres width.
