Stream and loam samples were collected for kimberlitic indicator mineral analysis, and detailed geological mapping was carried out, as part of a wider diamond search in the Lake Gilles district. No evidence of any kimberlite was seen in the Cooyerdoo Station licence area during ground checking of some discrete small aeromagnetic anomalies and sites of minor kimberlite indicator mineral recoveries. Many of the surface sediment samples were analysed for uranium, and a ground spectrometer survey was carried out at the north-eastern end of Lake Gilles, with slightly encouraging results.
