Interpretation of historical drilling and geological mapping data from Flinders Ranges piedmont outwash areas located to the west and north-west of Honeymoon, about 100-150 km south of Nepabunna, indicated that these localities are underlain by shallow basement. It was concluded that such places are unlikely to host sedimentary uranium deposits amenable to in-situ leaching extraction.
