In this report all aspects of the paradoxical McLeay Beds are reviewed. A stratigraphic revision which should eliminate the problems encountered in attempting to classify this formation is herein proposed, whereby two new stratigraphic units, to be known as the McLeay Regolith and the Gunson Member, are recognised. Other types of McLeay Beds in present usage are now to be assigned to existing stratigraphic units, either the Tapley Hill Formation or the Pandurra Formation.
