Gold and base metal exploration was centred around the old Mutooroo line of copper workings 15 km south-southwest of Cockburn. Work comprised an SP survey and soil, rock chip, float, shallow auger, BLEG and stream sediment sampling, the latter yielding anomalous Au, Cu, Co and Pb. One diamond drillhole to 110 m intersected massive sulphide containing 1-6% Cu and minor Au in the interval 38.7-69.8 m, and a line of airborne EM produced an anomalous response coincident with a magnetic high.
