As part of a search for possible concealed nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation of Voisey Bay type buried within the Giles Complex at the eastern end of the Musgrave Ranges, Landsat and aeromagnetic interpretation of the mid-Proterozoic basement structure was performed which identified 13 potential layered mafic-ultramafic intrusions. Access for follow-up ground checking of these anomalies, however, was not achieved owing to delays in finalising native title negotiations.
