Two Holocene lunette dunes lying near the Barrier Highway, 14 km east of Peterborough, were sampled by hand digging pits to depths of 0.5 and 0.6 m. The respective two sediment samples were composed predominantly of sand (79% and 63% SiO2), with their contained gypsum assays of 0.6% and 14.8% being far too low to use for economic purposes. Deeper bulldozer trenching is proposed under Mineral Claim tenure.
