Interpretation of historical drilling and mapping data from four separate small areas located from 40 to 90 km south-west of Lake Frome has indicated that these areas are shallowly underlain by Late Proterozoic basement. Such locations are deemed as being unlikely to host Tertiary sedimentary uranium deposits that would be amenable to in-situ leaching ore extraction methods.
