Exploration for Telfer-style gold occurrences beneath deep Tertiary cover within the Cox Sandstone and Wildildie Sandstone Members of the Neoproterozoic Farina Group was centred approximately 35 km north-east of Burra, to the east and north-east of the Mongolata Goldfield. Reconnaissance calcrete and rock chip sampling, and drillhole re-sampling, returned low order anomalous gold. Follow-up rock chip sampling of lode materials on spoil heaps at old workings for previously reported ore-grade gold (29 and 50 g/t Au) returned 18 ppb Au, confirming the presence but not the tenor of the regional mineralisation.
