An airborne geophysical survey carried out over an area spanning the Stuart Highway environs, 60-80 km south of Marla, searching for possible buried outliers of the Musgrave Block, revealed a few weak uranium radiometric and inferred deep (> 400 m) pre-sedimentary cover magnetic features. Reprocessing of the data generated ten lower order dipolar magnetic anomalies with kimberlitic potential, but ground follow-up was prevented by land access negotiation complications.
