Calcrete sampling on 1 km and 200 m grid spacings was carried out during 1996 (266 samples) and 1997 (2050 samples) over areas underlain by rocks of the Mulgathing Complex, Hiltaba Suite, Gairdner Dyke Swarm and Gawler Range Volcanics, that surround and lie to the north-east of Kingoonya. Several geochemically anomalous zones with up to 10 ppb Au and 35 ppm Cu were recorded. No significant As was recorded at a high (30 ppm) detection limit.
