A review of existing calcrete geochemistry within the Yellabinna Regional Reserve, 80 km south-west of Tarcoola, suggested that weakly elevated Cu, Au and Ni values can be correlated with areas of better calcrete development and associated higher Ca values. The low tenor of the previously reported assay results, together with revised company priorities and anticipated terrain difficulties, downgraded the prospectivity of the area for Olympic Dam style or Archaean-hosted mineralisation.
