A significant combined thickness of Late Proterozoic Pandurra Formation, Jurassic Algebuckina Sandstone and Cainozoic sediments overlies prospective Middle Proterozoic basement 70 km north of Tarcoola. Several gold anomalies were returned from calcrete sampling carried out adjacent to major NW-SE trending shear zones, and reconnaissance aircore drilling of bulls-eye magnetic anomalies intersected Hiltaba Suite granitoids at 24 and 32 metres depth respectively in two of four holes (total 185 m). A subsequent ground magnetic survey generated priority follow-up targets, drilling of which was prevented by Aboriginal heritage clearance issues.
