An area prospective for major metalliferous mineralisation at depth was identified at the intersection of the G2 and G7 structural corridors, 8 km south-west of Rhynie. Its potential was enhanced by coincident gravity, magnetic, radiometric and geochemical anomalism, besides field evidence of sericite alteration and minor surface copper mineralisation. Following calcrete and MMI sampling, carried out together with gravity, TEM and ground magnetic surveys, two targets were selected for drilling (2 holes, totalling 294 m of RC with 421 m diamond tails). Only minimal occurrences of bedrock mineralisation were encountered, consisting mainly of pyrite with minor chalcopyrite.
