Interpretation of SAEI regional aeromagnetic survey data acquired over the northern part of the Torrens Hinge Zone has identified two large magnetic anomalies. These lie respectively at the intersections of major north-east and north-west trending structural lineaments with the Olympic Dam Tectonic Corridor, and the southernmost anomaly also has a coincident Bouguer gravity high similar to that exhibited by the Olympic Dam deposit. Geophysical data modelling indicates equivalent depths to basement of between 250-300 m. Accordingly, the potential for discovering Hiltaba Suite granite - hosted Cu-Au-U orebodies associated with metasomatic Fe-oxide is rated highly. Due to a refocussing of exploration priorities elsewhere, the licence was surrendered without undertaking further confirmatory work.
