Soil and rock chip sampling together with reconnaissance mapping were carried out over an area of possible igneous intrusion-related skarn alteration of Adelaidean calcareous metasediments, located approximately 5 km north-west of Stonefield. The maximum gold assay value obtained was 280 ppb Au from a ferruginous quartz-carbonate vein. Elevated Fe values and patches of magnetic float showed some correlation with the target linear magnetic anomaly, but there were no other associated trace metal values of any significance.
