During exploration for Moonta-Wallaroo style Cu-Au, the licensees' interpretation of their 1999 aeromagnetic survey infilling the TEISA B5 programme highlighted a WNW-oriented structural corridor, possibly associated with the Arthurton Granite and concealed hydrothermal magnetite-silicate alteration, lying approximately 15 km west of Maitland. A reconnaissance soil geochemical MMI survey carried out above it defined broad zones of elevated Au, Cu, Ni and Ag. Although a need for follow-up geochemistry and ground geophysics was indicated, other company priorities necessitated that the licence be surrendered.
