In the past, little detailed mineral exploration has been conducted over the area lying immediately to the north-east of Lake Frome, east of the Beverley uranium deposit. Although the area retains potential for uranium, base metal, celestite and heavy mineral deposits, unresolved access issues have confined exploration to a compilation of available uranium search data.
