EL 2674 followed on from EL 2015, for which all data have been released to Open File in Envelope 8686. The subject EL area, which is peripheral to the Muckanippie Anorthosite Complex and was being explored under terms of a joint venture agreement now rescinded, was investigated in conjunction with the adjoining EL 2475 also held by Oxford Resources. Structural trends interpreted from aeromagnetic data trend south-westwards into EL 2674 from the igneous complex in EL 2475. Although previous work in this SW region had encountered numerous indications of anomalous base metals, gold, rare earths and nickel, it was decided that the geology of the adjacent areas showed more promise.
