Calcrete, stream sediment, rock chip and soil geochemical sampling were carried out 30 km south-west of Kingoonya over magnetic features, Archaean metabasalts, and contacts of Hiltaba Suite with Gawler Range Volcanics. RAB drilling (80 holes, total 3229 m) located low order anomalous gold at Huxley's prospect within chlorite / sericite / silica / epidote altered granite, with a best intersection of 5 m from 30 m depth grading 110 ppb Au. An IP survey was followed by further RAB and RC drilling (25 holes, total 1140 m, and 10 holes, total 1227 m, respectively) which recorded gold intersections of 10 m from 35 m depth grading 150 ppb Au, and 5 m from 65 m depth grading 120 ppb Au. Elsewhere, no significant trace metal values were obtained from further calcrete, drainage and soil sampling. A final RAB program (37 holes, total 880 m) returned anomalous lead values up to 2050 ppm Pb from several 5 metre-thick sulphide mineralised (arsenopyrite / pyrite) intersections.
