An area spanning the western margin of Lake Gilles, 50 km north-east of Kimba, was investigated for possible stratiform, shear-hosted, skarn-related and Olympic Dam - style mineralisation. Initial regional calcrete geochemical sampling returned anomalous gold and silver from near the faulted southern margin of the Gawler Range Volcanics, and from a south-easterly extension of the Telephone Dam mineralisation. Visible gold was recorded in a rock sample taken from an alteration zone, and infill calcrete and soil geochemical sampling and ground magnetic surveys generated additional targets. RAB and aircore drilling (9 holes, total 602 m, and 38 holes, total 2449 m, respectively) returned low order gold (best result 6 m from 54 m @ 92 ppb Au) and anomalous lead (24 m from 54 m @ 0.2% Pb).
