Widespread indications of gold mineralisation known from an area located north-east of Hallett were examined by evaluation of available data, including the interpretation of some newly released Stockdale Exploration aeromagnetic survey data, and by reconnaissance geological mapping and rock chip geochemical sampling, mainly of quartz vein systems in quartzite units or shear structures. The best sample analysis result obtained was 0.84 ppm Au and 220 ppm As, from quartz veins in a small area of historic prospecting activity. Due to the lack of encouragement, no further work was done after licence Year 3, before it was decided to fully surrender the ground.
