The Eukaby mining field area of the eastern Flinders Ranges was explored for Au-Ag-Pb-Zn mineralisation, while geophysical data modelling targetted Olympic Dam style metallogenic systems. Information gained from detailed structural mapping and rock chip sampling of surface mineral occurrences was combined with the interpretation of newly acquired, 200 m spaced infill aeromagnetic coverage, plus the interpretation of regional magnetics, gravity and Landsat imagery, to generate mechanisms for tectonic-related ore localisation in buried Adelaidean cover and underlying basement. Regional calcrete sampling at 1 km centres, with follow-up at 50 to 200 m centres, identified several robust gold and base metal anomalies. However, failure to attract a joint venture partner resulted in relinquishment of the licence.
