Exploration over the licence area was severely restricted due to its being located entirely within the Yellabinna Regional Reserve, and because of unresolved Native Title claims. Initially, acquisition of a detailed aeromagnetic survey, comprising 7500 line km flown at 100 m line spacing and 25 m sensor height, revealed a bullseye magnetic feature in the north-east of the area. A calcrete sampling programme (395 samples) returned only four samples > 5 ppb Au, but delineated consistent low level anomalism > 2 ppb Au around the magnetic anomaly. A detailed follow-up calcrete and BLEG survey (taking 2 samples at each of 252 sites) gave ambiguous results, but tended to support the low level anomalism. Perceived difficulties in obtaining ground access for further work led to surrender of the licence.
