As part of a major programme in the Flinders Ranges aimed at locating economic base metal deposits, some semi-regional soil, stream sediment and rock chip sampling was undertaken in the Chace Range / Druid Range area. Stream sediment sampling gave a peak result of 1215 ppm Zn, while follow-up rock chip sampling gave peak values of 0.78% Zn and 310 ppm Cu. The style and tenor of observed mineralisation did not warrant further work.
