Exploration for iron oxide-hosted gold and base metals over a wide area spreading NW-SE, north-east from Coober Pedy and near Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, was initially by review of historical data and interpretation of airborne geophysical data. A discrete magnetic bulls-eye anomaly was subsequently tested by ground magnetics and a single reverse circulation drill hole for 316 m. Transported sediments to 258 m thick overlie variably magnetic Archaean gneisses, which adequately explain the magnetic anomaly. No significant mineralisation was observed.
