The Bibliando Dome area was explored for Olympic Dam style Cu-Au mineralisation in the basement and porphyry copper style mineralisation in the Adelaidean cover sequence. Initial work included rock chip sampling and extensive stream sediment sampling, with results supporting both mineralisation models. Re-interpretation of aeromagnetic data, coupled with detailed gravity surveys, focussed attention on an area of coincident magnetic and gravity anomalism, with depth to the magnetic body estimated at ~1000 m. A deep drilling programme comprised two partly cored holes up to 1106 m deep (total drilled 1859.7 m, 1621.7 m cored). Neither hole reached the magnetic target, but both encountered sporadic low grade Pb-Zn mineralisation in the Adelaidean sequence. A series of nine RC holes (total 1493.5 m), drilled to follow up this stratabound mineralisation, showed no major Pb-Zn concentrations.
