An area located 45 km west of Whyalla, which is underlain by Palaeoproterozoic and Archaean sediments, metasediments and intrusives, was inferred to have potential to host gold and base metal mineralisation. Interpretation of Landsat images and existing aeromagnetic data, together with a licence-wide calcrete sampling program, identified several areas of geochemical and structural/magnetic anomalism. However, a joint venture partner could not be found and so the ground was relinquished.
