The tenement was acquired to cover a large magnetic dome (the Eurinilla Dome, ~100 km north of Olary), considered prospective for iron oxide - associated copper-gold (IOCG) mineralisation analogous to that found at Olympic Dam and Ernest Henry. An aeromagnetic survey, some ground magnetic surveys, a 1 km x 1 km grid-spaced gravity survey covering the entire tenement, and a small airborne TEM survey identified several drilling targets. Four reverse circulation percussion holes for 583 m tested a gravity anomaly, but returned low analytical results. Subsequent drill testing of the main Eurinilla Dome (one diamond hole to TD 326.8 m, 79 aircore holes for 8672 m, and six reverse circulation percussion holes for 1737 m) returned several potentially significant zones of supergene and hypogene Cu-Au mineralisation, principally pyrite, chalcocite and arsenopyrite in graphitic schist. The best-mineralised intersection was made in hole EA97001, which returned 10 m at 0.49% Cu and 130 ppm Co from 130 m depth. Further drill testing of the sequence at depth is warranted, to investigate a primary source for the mineralisation.
