The results of IP surveys carried out over two aeromagnetic anomalies identified in an area east of Coober Pedy were not sufficiently encouraging to warrant further activity. Thirteen lines spaced 2000 feet apart were profiled, with stations read at 400 foot intervals. The observed ground resistivity in these locations is very low, and frequency coupling effects in the detector loop acted to mask the weak IP responses recorded.
