The review reports in this data package present a synthesis of geochronological information for southern Australia, i.e. South Australia and geologically associated areas in New South Wales and Victoria. The data given represent the outcomes of much collaborative research undertaken between Precise Radiogenic Isotope Services (PRISE) and the state government Geological Surveys of SA and NSW, plus also a lesser amount of work done for industry groups. The main emphasis of this synthesis is placed on evidence of what may be termed "crust-forming events", meaning particular geochronological results that reflect the formation or reconstitution of continental crust from either magmatic crystallisation or significant metamorphic events.
