Rock chip and calcrete sampling were the main methods of exploration for iron oxide - associated copper-gold mineralisation in an area 60 km west of Port Augusta. Initial rock chip sampling returned no anomalous Au values, but gave best results of 0.27% Cu, 0.71% Pb and 0.16% Zn from quartz veins with visible galena and malachite. Regional calcrete sampling at 500 m centres gave peak values of 8 ppb and 11 ppb Au, while follow-up rock chip samples gave no significant results. Infill calcrete sampling to 250 m centres at four locations showed coherent weakly anomalous areas to a best value of 7 ppb Au, and low order base metal anomalies. Re-assay of pulps from previous RAB drilling returned a best value of 0.22 g/t Au over 2 m. An orientation soil sampling survey over the Triumph Prospect, known for weak Pb-Zn-Ag mineralisation, failed to define extensions to the anomalous units.
