Exploration for gold and base metals in an area of possibly hydrothermally altered Hiltaba Suite basement 20 km north-east of Kimba comprised regional calcrete sampling at 500 m centres, followed by infill sampling at 100 m and 200 m centres over two anomalous areas. Generally low geochemical results indicated little potential for the discovery of economic, Fe-oxide associated, gold / base metal deposits in the surrendered area.
