Gold, base metal and iron ore exploration work undertaken in the vicinity of Yantanabie, 50 km north-east of Streaky Bay, has only comprised a review of historic exploration results, including calcrete sampling, drilling and aeromagnetic data. Several coherent but low order gold in calcrete anomalies were interpreted to be associated with demagnetised remnants of the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone and parallel structures intruded by late-stage Hiltaba Suite granitoids. An anomaly in the north has been partially tested by earlier drilling, but anomalies in the south have not yet been adequately tested.
