The targets of exploration in the Mt Toodla area, situated 50 km south-east of Oodnadatta, were concealed deposits of Olympic Dam style Cu-Au-U-REE and Fe-oxide Cu-Au (IOCG) style mineralisation having less than 200 m thickness of cover. Work programmes consisted of image processing, geological and structural evaluations, interpretation of available geophysical data, and completion of a gravity survey and one line of dipole-dipole resistivity IP profiling. While there is some potential for IOCG deposits around the margins of the Peake and Denison Inliers, these were not of immediate interest to the Joint Venture partners.
