Ernest Henry / Olympic Dam style Cu-Au mineralisation hosted by Mesoproterozoic Gawler Range Volcanics and Hiltaba Suite granites was the target of exploration in an area situated immediately south of Lake Everard. Regional calcrete, soil, rock chip and stream sediment sampling identified four potentially significant Cu-Au targets and two uranium targets. Infill soil and calcrete samples taken by hand and auger confirmed the anomalous Au values, but were inconclusive for the uranium anomalies. Subsequent aircore and RAB drilling (77 holes, total 4395 m) of geochemical and magnetic targets returned modest results, with a highest gold intercept of 140 ppb Au at the Deep Well prospect. A review of all work led Equinox to the view that the anomalies had been adequately tested, and the licence was therefore not renewed for a second term.
