An area located 30 km west of Pimba, and situated on the eastern margin of the Gawler Craton, was considered to have potential for Olympic Dam style Cu-Au mineralisation, and possibly for stratabound Cu sulphide mineralisation as occurs at Mount Gunson. Work undertaken consisted of researching and reviewing historic exploration results, and the interpretation of available magnetic, gravity and geological data. Logs from drillholes that had been drilled within 80 km of the licence showed a best stratabound mineralised intersection of 13 m at 0.36% Zn and 0.11% Pb, from 63 m depth, whilst from the geophysics the regional depth to basement was interpreted to be in excess of 600 m.
