Possible extensions to historic workings for lead, gold and copper in the Pinda Springs area, 55 km south-east from Copley, were tested by a limited programme of rock chip sampling and panning of creek sediments. Mineralised veins with visible galena and copper sulphides returned best values of 10.5% Cu and 0.5 g/t Au, while panned concentrates near the Christmas Mine showed visible gold.
