An airborne TEM survey, followed by ground magnetics and geochemical sampling, defined two areas in the vicinity of Lyndhurst considered to be prospective for supergene enriched copper oxide/sulphide mineralisation hosted within Neoproterozoic rocks of the Adelaide Geosyncline. Ground TEM delineated three anomalies, which were tested by reverse circulation drilling (3 holes, total 446 m). Two of the anomalies were attributed to clay and pyritic sandstones of the Leigh Creek Coal Measures, or to copious saline groundwater. The third anomaly remained unexplained.
