This report summarises, in categoric fashion, all of the various exploratory and mine development activities carried out over the past four years on the broader Puttapa area exploration licence (as renewed), and within the mineral claims taken out over the major Beltana ore zone adjoining the eastern side of the Beltana Diapir. References to previously issued E-Z exploration progress reports are given at appropriate places in the summary. Willemite mineralisation known to occur in a 'blind' orebody on the Mineral Claim was investigated by geochemical and geological techniques. A microgravity survey produced an anomaly located over this body, but magnetic survey methods were completely ineffective, and induced polarisation was significant only over areas of manganese mineralisation within the Ajax Limestone. Diamond and percussion drilling established the presence of a body of some 1,000,000 tons at 33% Zn. Further feasibility studies have shown that this orebody would be economically mineable.
