Notes: This release to the public of the subject mineral exploration data, namely, company data which was acquired more than 5 years ago, is being done by DMITRE in accord with the provisions of Section 77D of the Mining Act 1971 and Regulation 88 of the Mining Regulations 2011. A transfer of licence ownership from South Australian Uranium Corp. to Heathgate Pty Ltd (a subsidiary of US-based company General Atomics) was agreed upon in August 1990, and was approved by the SA Minister of Mines on 23/10/1990. EL 1539 expired on 29/11/1993, and was belatedly renewed as EL 1944 on 1/7/1994, over a 38% reduced area. The delay in renewal was caused by the SA Government in general not issuing any new Exploration Licences over the period July 1993 to June 1994, in response to enforced administrative reviews and procedural changes occasioned by the drafting and eventual proclamation of the Australian Commonwealth Native Title Act on 1/1/1994.
