Re-interpretation of available geophysical data in an area of historic copper workings situated near to and north of Hawker showed a broad regional gravity high. A detailed ground gravity survey confirmed that the area is characterised by a large Bouguer gravity anomaly. Rapidly varying topography in the area dictates the need to apply terrain corrections prior to further gravity surveys being undertaken.
