Iron-oxide copper-gold mineralisation of either Moonta-Wallaroo or Olympic Dam style was the target of exploration in an area lying immediately north of Port Augusta. A review of historic exploration data and an evaluation of new and historic geophysical data was followed by first pass soil geochemical sampling. Sample analyses by partial leach and enzyme leach methods revealed several anomalous partial leach Au and Cu values, but basement depths interpreted as being >500 m below the surface were considered too deep for cost-effective exploration by drilling.
